There's nothing I can say that another commenter has said before, but I want to give my two cents to say, very good work! It's very creative and colorful. I especially like the fruit stand on the street, I think that, and several other specific touches, set it apart from other paintings of futuristic cities.
theres nothing at all wrong at with using texture. Its the best way to achieve detail and realistic scenes. HOwever my goal is to move towards more an illustrated stylized look that has more of a hand painted to feel to it.
This is a very interesting piece. The muted tones and sort of grunginess along with the open-air marketplace give it an appealing old-town sort of look, but the odd machines and floating signpost deal make it seem at the same time very futuristic. It makes for a very intriguing mixture. Nice work!
It's very beautiful. I love the atmosphere and the detail. The textures on the vehicles are especially nice.
This work feels both strange and familiar at the same time. The scale and the open atmosphere remind me a bit of the first time outside of the gates of Rabanastre in FFXII, the neon signs and grubbiness remind me of Bioshock, the architecture and floating screens remind me of Beyond Good and Evil, the colours and alien people feel a bit like Star Wars and a bit like Mass Effect.
I love that you put trees on top of those floating installations. Seems like the sort of efficient use of space people would need in a crowded city where the light barely touches the floor. Are those floating thingy's used only for commercial purposes and providing light, or are they also used for crowd control and spying?
